About Henry Gong:
Born and raised in New York City, I came to a sleepy college town tucked away in the verdant hills of Central Pennsylvania in the 1970's and have been in State College ever since! While pursuing my graduate degree in geochemistry and mineralogy at Penn State, I began taking photos of the local area as a stress reliever. Since then, I have exhibited in various Arts and Crafts shows including the State College Arts Festival and the People's Choice Festival. I am currently an analytical chemist at Penn State. With three daughters having graduated from or attending Penn State and my wife also a PSU grad, if our family were any more Blue and White we'd be in the sky over Beaver Stadium!
About my Photography:
Unlike some photographers and artists who take themselves far too seriously, I don't have any pretentious or pompously stated "artistic philosophy". Instead, I simply strive to capture and present an image so that when you look at it on your wall, it will bring back warm memories of your time here in the Nittany Valley. My images are lovingly and personally printed on fine photo papers with archival inks so they'll be around for years of enjoyment.
